FORMER BACCHUS MARSH GASWORKS - VICTORIA
BlueSphere has been engaged on this project since 2011 undertaking a complex range of soil and groundwater investigations through to remedial design and implementation which will see this former gasworks site rendered suitable for public use.
NYRSTAR PORT PIRIE SMELTER - SOUTH AUSTRALIA
BlueSphere completed a large scale environmental site assessment, remedial options assessment and implementation of remedial measures at the 178 ha Nyrstar Port Pirie Smelter site over several years. The assessment was subject to a Site Contamination Audit. Development of a robust conceptual site model and a numerical groundwater model facilitated target assessment and remedial planning and implementation.
TONSLEY INNOVATION DISTRICT - SOUTH AUSTRALIA
BlueSphere was engaged to undertake an investigation of chlorinated solvent impacts across a broad area of Adelaide’s southeastern suburbs including Tonsley, Clovelly and Mitchell Parks
DINGLEY 53X ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT - VICTORIA
Michael Seignior was engaged by the Shell Company of Australia Limited (Shell) to undertake a 53X audit of the former service station site located in Dingley, Victoria. Groundwater at the Site was contaminated (predominantly) by petroleum hydrocarbons, including some light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL).
AIRPORT LINK AUDIT - QUEENSLAND
Michael Seignior was appointed as the environmental auditor (Third Party Reviewer), under the approval of the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (DEHP), for the multiple portions of land segments along or immediately adjacent to the project corridor as part of the construction works associated with the Airport Link tunnell in Brisbane, Queensland
WOODVALE PONDS GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION - VICTORIA
BlueSphere was engaged to determine the interaction (if any) between the ponds associated with underground mining operations and the local groundwater system, particularly given the various groundwater uses down catchment.
ALCOA ANGLESEA MINE CLOSURE: INDEPENDANT TECHNICAL REVIEW - VICTORIA
BlueSphere was engaged to complete an independent peer review of specific elements of the overall Mine Closure Plan. This comprised critical review of hydrological, hydrogeological and geochemical studies, including those related to the creek diversion from and back to the natural surface water system.
PRECINCT SCALE REDEVELOPMENT - VICTORIA
BlueSphere was engaged to completed a large scale environmental site assessment and remedial options assessment of a former Research Farm (~770 ha) in support of site redevelopment.
