Qualifications: BA / BSc (Geol) (Hons) / PhD (Hydrogeology)
Matt has over 17 years geological and hydrogeological experience comprising environmental site assessments, contaminant fate and transport studies and site remediation in the mining, research and private consulting sectors.
Over the past 5 years Matt has been extensively involved in assessing tidal influences on groundwater discharges and related contaminant discharges to marine and estuarine systems throughout south eastern Australia and broader surface water – groundwater interaction studies in the groundwater resources context. This work has resulted in quantification of impacts to surface water systems, including contaminant concentrations, mass loads and streamflow impacts and has been used to inform statutory audits, numerical models, ecological risk assessments and large scale remediation programs.
